The children have started their art topic of craft & design: architecture. In our first lesson the children  used observational drawing skills to draw what they see accurately. They had a picture of various houses, and they had to start by sketching the outline, measuring techniques to draw the windows and doors, they then added further details. Take at look at some of their fantastic drawings!

In science this half term, we have been looking at forces. We have completed two investigations: one about friction and the other about air resistance. For our friction investigation, we asked the question, “Which of the three liquids—water, cooking oil, and washing-up liquid—reduces friction the most?” When investigating air resistance, we made our own parachutes and tested different materials to see which one creates the most air resistance, helping our parachutes land safely.
