| We enjoyed learning about number lines to help with our place value topic. One child calculated the total difference between the start and the end and the number of steps to get there. The rest of the group then worked out and filled in the gaps. | ![]() |

| The children have loved our Stone Age topic this term. Here, we set out a timeline of British history starting from the Ice Age, all the way through to the modern day. We looked at where all our key history topics fit in along the timeline. We then studied several artefacts in class, thinking about what they are and what they could have been used for. Ask your child about the different eras of the Stone Age - Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic - because they have fantastic knowledge! | ![]() |

| Class 8 were proud to perform a values assembly to the rest of the school. They did an amazing job! After we'd read the story of King Kafu and the Moon, we wanted to share this story with the rest of the school to highlight the values of empathy and collaboration displayed by the characters. All children contributed something and all of our characters and readers were brilliant, ensuring everybody could hear them and understand the story. | ![]() |

| In our guided reading, we have worked on reading fluently. This means reading accurately, at a good pace and with appropriate expression. We've enjoyed the texts and the class were keen to perform the latest poem we read. Hope you enjoy it. |

| We have loved learning Spanish this term. I'm so impressed by how much the children have learnt. Many children were keen to perform a conversation in front of the class, which showed amazing confidence. Can you tell what's being said? |
